Rajasthani Folk music can mesmerize anyone with its beautiful rhythm and words. Folk music of Rajasthan is originated from emotions, stories and daily activities of Rajasthani people. The school invited a group of Rajasthani Folk singers and dancers today. Mohini, a renowned Folk dancer who has won many awards in India and Abroad, presented many art forms like Bhavai, Kalbelia, Terah taal and Panihari. Apart from balancing the pots, she danced by placing her feet on a plate or the edge of three swords. It was really a mind blowing performance. The Folk group presented many popular Folk songs leaving the audience spellbound. They also introduced some Folk musical instruments to the students like Kamayacha, Sarangi, Jaltall, etc. The performance was undoubtedly mesmerizing. The programme was truly enjoyed by everyone and it evoked cultural awareness among the students. It is our responsibility to save our incredible tradition and culture. Folk music should be saved from getting obsolete.
