World Environment Day ( 05/06/2024) serves as a powerful reminder that protecting our planet is not just a responsibility, but also an opportunity to give a strong message to the society. Agrasen DAV Public School, Bharech Nagar commemorated this auspicious day with a plantation drive in the school premises followed by a painting competition. The students participated in these events with great enthusiasm and zeal. First of all the celebrations started with the plantation of saplings by the revered Sri Nisikanta Kar, Principal cum ARO, Jharkhand Zone F followed by the plantation of saplings by Sri Manupriya Chatterjee, Principal, DAV Public School, Gidi - A. The teachers and students also planted saplings at their homes and took oath to promote more sustainable practices while advocating the protection of our planet. It was a move to motivate and encourage all to come forward with full dedication and commitment to protect nature and bring about a remarkable change to overcome problems like deforestation, climate change, rise in temperature etc. and restore our planet Earth to its beauty and health. The painting competition open for all students added a mesmerizing feature in the celebration as they participated in this event whole heartedly and their creations were a catalogue of their exceptional talents.
